Oil Change
Is Quin-Cip oil being used?
Change oil if 1000 hours or 6 months have passed, whichever occurs first.
Compressor Valve Inspection
Inspect compressor valves for leakage.
Inspect compressor valves for carbon build-up.
Crankcase and Sump Strainer Cleaning
Clean the oil sump strainer screen inside the crankcase with a safety solvent.
Is there excessive sludge build-up inside the crankcase?
Initial Compressor Inspection
Inspect Compressor Equipment
Inspect compressor equipment for damage during shipment
Was any damage found on the compressor equipment?
Carrier Inspection and Claim
Demand an inspection from the carrier if damage is found

1 Daily Air Tank Draining
Preparation
Disconnect & lockout the compressor from the power source (electric models) or disconnect the spark plug wire from the spark plug (gas engine models).
Is the compressor stored in a heated area if subjected to freezing temperatures?
Pressure Reduction
Enter the current air pressure in the tank (PSIG).
Is the air pressure in the tank 30 PSIG or less?
Draining Process
Open the drain valve and allow the moisture and air mixture to drain from the tank.
Close the drain valve once the moisture has been completely drained.
8 Hourly / 1 Daily Compressor Maintenance
Pre-maintenance Setup
Ensure the compressor is installed in a clean, well-lighted, and adequately ventilated area
Ensure sufficient space is provided around the compressor for inspection, cleaning, and maintenance
Oil Level and Quality Check
Record the oil level on the bayonet gauge
Is the oil level between the high and low marks?
Is the oil discolored or contaminated?
Drain and replace oil if contaminated
System Drainage

Jog the starter button and check compressor rotation
