Burners Replacement

Remove the burner assembly as described in Section 2.7.2

Remove the end plates of the burner assembly and the central burner support plate

Main Burner Assembly Maintenance

Ensure the gas service valve is turned OFF

Unscrew the union nut situated immediately downstream of the gas service valve

Check mark

Disconnect the spark and rectification leads from the control box

Check mark

Remove the electrical plug connections from the top of the gas control valve assembly

Remove the burner heat shield

Check mark

Release the inlet connection flange from the gas valve

Check mark

Remove the manifold if required

Check mark

Remove the manifold by removing the four screws securing it to the burner assembly

Remove the burner assembly

Thermistor Replacement

Disconnect the thermistor from the exhaust fan outlet

Disconnect the two pin plug and socket connected to the end of the red/white cable situated behind the electrical chassis plate

Disconnect the fan electrical connections from the main terminal strip.

Remove the screws securing the fan mounting box to the exhaust header plate.

Fit replacement exhaust fan using new gaskets and silicon sealant as necessary.

Remove the screws securing the thermostat phial mounting plate to the inner bulkhead

Withdraw assembly and unclip the phial

Remove the electrical connections from the limit thermostat

Remove the securing nut and remove thermostat from the front panel

Fit replacement thermostat in reverse order

Check mark

For LX35 & 90 - 140 units, remove the two small cover plates and replace the second limit stat as above
