Sequence Control Box Replacement
Preparation
Unplug all the electrical connections
Control Box Removal
Remove the two screws that secure the control box
Replacement Installation
Fit replacement in reverse order
Post Replacement Check
Verify all connections are secure and operational
Is the control box functioning correctly after replacement?
Gas Valve Replacement
Turn OFF the gas service valve
Determine type of gas connection
Unscrew the union nut downstream of the gas service valve
Remove the electrical plug connections from the top of the gas valve
Release the flanged connections at the inlet and outlet of the gas valve
Remove the gas valve
Reconnect the new valve ensuring correct orientation
Renew the sealing 'O' rings if necessary
Check that all connections are secure
Electrode Assemblies Replacement
Disconnection and Removal
Disconnect the electrode leads from the control box
Remove the screw securing the electrode assembly to the burner assembly side plate
Withdraw the electrode assembly
Replacement and Reassembly
Fit the replacement electrode assembly
Reassemble in reverse order
Verification
Check the spark gap is 2.5mm
Main Burner Assembly Maintenance
Preparation
Ensure that the gas service valve is turned OFF
Unscrew the union nut situated immediately downstream of the gas service valve
Disconnection
Disconnect the spark and rectification leads from the control box
Remove the electrical plug connections from the top of the gas control valve assembly
Component Removal
Remove the burner heat shield, 3 screws
Release the inlet connection flange from the gas valve by removing the four screws
Exhaust Fan Maintenance
Disassembly
Remove the four screws securing the flue outlet socket.
Disconnect the fan electrical connections from the main terminal strip.
Remove the screws securing the fan mounting box to the exhaust header plate.
Cleaning
Clean impeller by brushing with a stiff brush.
Re-assembly
Re-assemble using a new sealing gasket to the fan mounting box.
Use silicon sealant around the joints.
