Ensure tool-holders are securely fixed

Verify all tools are fitted in their correct position and securely fixed

Check insert wear and ensure it is well secured

Enter the clamping pressure of the main spindle clamping attachment

Enter the clamping pressure of the sub-spindle clamping attachment

Confirm no wrenches are left inside the machine

Ensure all covers are in place and doors are closed

Is the floor around the machine free from oil or coolant stains?

Enter the pressure reading from the pressure gauge

Is the working pressure at '0'?

Describe any abnormal situations found during inspection

Inform supervisor of any abnormalities

Do not use compressed air to clean the machine

Do not close collet if bar is not inserted

Adjust clamping pressure to type of collet and machining

Procedure applies to both simple-cone and double-cone collets

Open collet by pressing push-button for the main or sub-spindle

Remove components and clean area

Clean hole C which unloads the coolant in the swarf conveyor tank

Was the cleaning performed today due to bar-machining?

Is greasing the self-centering chuck required?

Grease the self-centering chuck if required

Ensure no compressed air is used to clean the chuck and spindle front flange
