Preliminary Checks
Ensure live spindles are greased for 'life' and require no maintenance.
Check for any visible damage to seals due to chipping bits.
Manual Check
Rotate live-spindle manually to check for axial or radial plays.
Machine Check
Fit live-spindle on the machine and rotate at 2000 rpm in one direction (M73). Record the duration of rotation.
Rotate in reverse direction (M74) for the same duration. Record the duration of rotation.

Preparation
Set tailstock in its work position
Mount the gauge holder with the magnetic base H on the chuck
Place the gauge I probe on the rotating head G taper
Concentricity Check and Adjustment
Check concentricity between spindle and rotating head by rotating the gauge (chuck)
Is a correction required?
Loosen the six screws F if correction is required
Rotate the lock-ring + bushing towards one direction for correction

Remove the drainage pipes A from the inside of the oil collecting container B and place them on the coolant tank
