Turn off the breaker for the boiler’s main power.

Setup a ladder and ensure safe foothold.

Wear protective glasses and rubber gloves before handling chemicals.

Confirm that the chemical feed is as required.

Confirm that sufficient liquid is present to properly dissolve chemicals.

Confirm that there is no air in the chemical feed pump or feed line.

Describe any incidents of chemical contact with skin or eyes and actions taken.

Conduct a full water test for all water types

Refer to contract terms and conditions or Miura representative for test frequency

Rapidly discharge approximately two liters of water from the water sampling port.

Thoroughly wash the sampling beaker with the sample water.

Add four drops of hardness indicator to the sampling beaker.

Add approximately 20 mL of sample water and agitate well to mix.

Fill the sampling beaker up to the 50-mL level by collecting more sample water.

Determine the water hardness based on the color of the solution in the sampling beaker.

Ensure no work other than indicated is carried out on the boiler

Confirm water in supply lines has cooled down sufficiently (at least two hours after boiler shutdown)

Turn off the breaker for the boiler’s main power

Confirm that the steam pressure gauge is reading 0 PSI

Is the steam pressure gauge reading 0 PSI?
