Safety Precautions
Ensure no contact with hot oil or components
Preparation
Start and operate the lift truck until the transmission reaches normal operating temperature (about 80°C)
Park the lift truck level with the forks lowered, parking brake applied and the transmission controls in NEUTRAL
Transmission Oil Level Check
With the service brake applied and the engine at low idle, shift the directional control lever to forward and then to reverse, to fill the clutches
Shift the transmission into NEUTRAL and engage the parking brake
Loosen the oil dipstick counter-clockwise, remove and clear it

Battery Cleaning
Clean battery outer surfaces with a mixture of baking soda and water
Battery Inspection and Maintenance
Inspect battery outer surfaces for damage and replace as necessary

Hydraulic Tank Drainage
Remove the hydraulic tank drain plug located on the bottom of the frame
Allow the oil to drain into a suitable container
Clean and install the plug
Strainer Replacement
Loosen the bolts of the hydraulic tank cover
Remove the strainer from the tank
Install the new strainer by hand
10 Hourly / 1 Daily Hydraulic Oil Level Check
Safety Precautions
Ensure the engine is stopped and the cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand
Remove the filter cap slowly to relieve pressure
Preparation
Operate the lift truck for a few minutes to warm the oil
Park the lift truck on a level surface
Lower the forks and tilt the mast back
Engage the parking brake
Ensure the transmission is in NEUTRAL and the engine is stopped

Measure precisely ten links of chain distance at the centre of pins in millimeter
Calculate chain wear rate
Is the chain wear rate 2% or more?
Replace the lift chain if wear rate is 2% or more
Equal Tension Check
Lift the carriage and the mast high enough for getting tension on lift chains
Check that the tension is the same on both chains
