Acknowledge that no work other than indicated is to be carried out on the boiler

Enter the gas pressure reading from the boiler’s gas pressure gauge

Is the gas pressure within the required range of 3 to 5 PSI?

Was the boiler shutdown initiated due to incorrect pressure?

Record the water hardness level

Record the pH level of the water

Record the conductivity of the water

Is the water quality within the acceptable range?

Log any anomalies or issues found during the test

Turn off the breaker for the boiler’s main power.

Setup a ladder and ensure safe foothold.

Ensure no work other than that clearly indicated is carried out on the boiler.

Wait until the tank water has sufficiently cooled down (at least two hours after boiler shutdown) before performing this work.

Turn off the breaker for the boiler’s main power.

Confirm that the steam pressure gauge is reading 0 PSI.

Is the steam pressure gauge reading 0 PSI?

Is the steam pressure gauge reading 30 PSI?

Carry out steps 1 to 3 of the boiler startup procedure described in Section 8.1: Boiler Startup.

Turn off the 'OPERATION' switch and confirm that the Status lamp turns off.

Slowly open the boiler’s blowdown valve and carry out boiler-water blowdown.
