Miura Steam Boiler LX-150

Ensure no work other than specified is carried out on the boiler.

Confirm boiler water supply lines have cooled down for at least two hours after shutdown.

Turn off the breaker for the boiler’s main power.

Confirm the steam pressure gauge reads 0 PSI.

Is the main feed water valve closed?

Open the boiler blowdown valve.

Open the ball valve at the bottom of the LVC to test the Low Water Volume Cut-off.

Allow time for the steam pressure to force the water out of the LVC.

Did the low water cut-off probe lose contact with the water for more than 15 seconds?

Did the boiler shift to stand-by mode and shut down after 15 seconds?

Did the alarm sound and the BL11 Microcomputer display 'WATER ALARM 1'?

Record the water hardness level

Record the pH level of the water

Record the conductivity of the water

Is the water quality within the acceptable range?

Log any anomalies or issues found during the test

Have you received instruction from MIURA maintenance personnel?

Is the boiler sufficiently cooled down?

Turn off the breaker for the boiler’s main power.

Conduct a full water test for all water types

Are the test results within the WATER TREATMENT GUIDELINES FOR MIURA STEAM BOILERS?

Actions taken if results are outside guidelines

Have you referred to your contract terms and conditions or Miura representative for the frequency of a full water test?
