Mix Manitowoc ice machine cleaner and water (2 ounces of cleaner to 16 ounces of water) in a container

Clean all probe surfaces including all plastic parts (do not use abrasives)

Thoroughly rinse probes with clean water

Gently flex the curtain in the center and remove it from the right side

Depress tabs on right and left side of the water trough

Allow front of water trough to drop as you pull forward to disengage the rear pins

Pull the water level probe straight down to disengage

Lower the water level probe until the wiring connector is visible

Preparation and Safety Precautions

Wear rubber gloves and safety goggles (and/or face shield) when handling Ice Machine Cleaner or Sanitizer.

Ensure ice machine top cover is removed if necessary for easier access.

Ensure ice is not on the evaporator during the clean/sanitize cycle by following one of the methods below:

Remove all ice from the bin/dispenser.

Press the clean switch and wait until the water trough refills and the display indicates add solution.

Add the proper amount of ice machine cleaner based on model.

Cleaning Cycle and Power Disconnection

Ensure you have read and understood all labels on the cleaning and sanitizing bottles.

Ensure you are wearing rubber gloves and safety goggles or face shield.

Cleaning and Sanitizing Procedure

Disassemble the ice machine and bin.

Use Manitowoc Ice Machine Cleaner to clean the machine.

Use Manitowoc Ice Machine Sanitizer to sanitize the machine.

Ensure all ice produced during the cleaning and sanitizing procedures is discarded.

Ensure the area around the ice machine is clear of obstructions.

Gather cleaning materials: damp cloth, mild dish soap, clean soft cloth.

Wipe surfaces with a damp cloth rinsed in water to remove dust and dirt.

Is there any greasy residue remaining?

If greasy residue persists, use a damp cloth rinsed in a mild dish soap and water solution.

Wipe dry with a clean, soft cloth.
