Ensure fan equipment is protected and maintained before operation

Verify access to the fan wheel through the bolted panel on the side of the fan housing

Check all fasteners and set screws for tightness

Rotate the fan wheel by hand to ensure no parts are rubbing

Ensure proper wheel settings for radial gap and alignment

Verify equipment type and arrangement as ordered

Is there any discrepancy found?

Notify local sales representative if discrepancy is found

Electrical Conformance Verification

Verify electrical conformance to specifications

Check for unauthorized alterations

Check for unauthorized back charges

Ensure the fan is turned off and locked out before starting lubrication.

Verify that the lubricant is a high quality lithium complex grease conforming to NLGI Grade 2.

Is the shaft rotating during lubrication?

Record the current housing temperature.

Add lubricant until clean grease is seen purging from the bearing.

Is the bearing visible to observe purged grease?

Disconnect and secure to the OFF position all electrical power to the fan

Confirm that building supply voltage matches the voltage for which the unit is wired

Check all piping and wiring penetrations for water tightness

Rotate the fan wheel manually to ensure it is free to operate and remove any dirt or debris

Check the fan bearing setscrews for tightness

Check alignment of sheaves and V-belts

Inspect all fasteners to ensure none have loosened during shipment

Is the wheel free from grease and dirt accumulation?

Clean the wheel if grease or dirt is present

Check the tightness of all fasteners

Is the maintenance program being followed regularly?

Describe any issues found during maintenance
