Loosen the inlet cone/ring bolts

Center the cone/ring on the wheel

Is additional adjustment required to maintain a constant radial gap?

Loosen the bearing bolts and center the wheel if necessary

Loosen the wheel hub from the shaft

Move the wheel to the desired position along the shaft

Is the transition between the inlet cone and wheel smooth?

Inspection and Maintenance Record

Record inspection and maintenance performed

Check for moisture or dirt accumulations on parts

Describe the source of moisture or dirt if found

Is the wheel free from grease and dirt accumulation?

Clean the wheel if grease or dirt is present.

Check the tightness of all fasteners

Was the maintenance performed successfully?

Describe any issues encountered during maintenance

Ensure the fan is turned off and locked out before starting lubrication

Verify the ambient temperature is within the normal operating range (32°F to 200°F)

Are there any unusual conditions such as moisture or contaminants present?

Use high quality lithium complex grease conforming to NLGI Grade 2

Rotate the shaft while adding lubricant

Is clean grease seen purging from the bearing?

Enter the number of grease shots applied if bearing is not visible

Ensure the unit is attached to the designed system

Momentarily energize the unit to check wheel rotation

Is the wheel rotation in the same direction as the airflow at the outlet?

Does the wheel rotation conform to the rotation decal affixed to the unit?

Describe any issues noted during the check
