Ensure all protective equipment is worn

Check the piston and cylinder for scoring marks and excessive wear.

Is there excessive wear on the piston or cylinder?

Replace parts if there is excessive wear.

Contact Sauer-Service department if cylinders or pistons need to be replaced.

Ensure all protective equipment is worn

Loosen clamps and remove the air filter cover

Remove the air filter insert from the air filter housing

Clean the air filter housing with a lint-free cloth

Fit a new air filter insert in the air filter housing

Attach the air filter cap and close the clamps

Ensure all protective equipment is worn

Unscrew the oil filler cap and remove it.

Place an oil spill pan with sufficient capacity underneath the oil drain valve.

Pour in oil and check the oil level on the dipstick.

DANGER! Risk of excess pressure build-up

Ensure safety valves are not adjusted, disabled, or removed

Verify safety valves are sealed by the manufacturer

Check the safety valve and seal for signs of external damage

Check threaded connections for proper seating

Inspect attached parts and lines for damage

Ensure all protective equipment is worn

Ensure only new gaskets are used to prevent leakages

Use only genuine Sauer spare parts to avoid damage

Replace and dispose of used valves, do not repair

Removal of Air Filter and Pipe Unions

Loosen the screw on the air filter flange and remove the air filter

Unscrew and remove the pipe unions and hose lines at the cylinder heads
