Battery Insertion and Initial Test

Insert a functioning battery pack to initiate the test

Did the beeper beep for 1 second and the State LED turn ON in blue?

Did the shock button flash in orange with the voice prompt: 'Press the flashing orange button, now'?

Press the flashing orange shock button. Did the beeper emit a short beep?

Did the i-Button backlight flash in blue with the voice prompt: 'Press the flashing blue i-Button'?

Press the flashing blue i-Button. Did the beeper emit a short beep?

Set the defibrillator analyzer to output an 80 bpm, 1 mV normal sinus rhythm ECG waveform.

Connect the i-PAD NF1200 to the defibrillator analyzer.

Verify that the i-PAD NF1200 goes through the protocol shown in the figure in the next page.

Ensure the following equipment is available

Check supplies, accessories, and spare parts for damage and expiration

Replace expired supplies immediately

Initiate complete self-test by performing a Manual Self-Test

Did the self-test detect any problems?

Refer to the Troubleshooting chapter if any problems are detected

Ensure all equipment is available

Connect the i-PAD NF1200 to the variable resistive impedance load

Set the impedance of the variable resistive impedance load to 10Ω

Verify that the i-PAD NF1200 does not go beyond the prompt 'ATTACH PADS'

Select the cleaning solvent used

Use a soft, damp cloth moistened with the selected solvent

Ensure no part of the i-PAD NF1200 is immersed in fluids

Ensure no fluid enters the case of the device

Ensure no liquids are spilled on the case of the device

Avoid using strong, acetone-based cleaners
