Support the compressor under the crankcase

Unscrew the fixing screws for the electric motor

Attach the motor at the lifting eyes using appropriate lifting gear

Record motor weight from rating plate

Carefully lift the electric motor using the lifting eyes

Pull the electric motor carefully away from the crankcase

Ensure all protective equipment is worn

Ensure crane and lifting gear are available

Ensure 'Staburags N12' grease is available

Loosen and unscrew the cylinder foot nuts

Carefully pull the cylinders off the crankcase over the studs

Is the piston supported or held while working on the cylinder or connecting rod?

Take off the cylinder foot gasket and dispose of it in an environmentally sound manner

Ensure all protective equipment is worn

Ensure only new gaskets are used for re-installation of valves, cylinder heads, and cylinders

Ensure only genuine Sauer spare parts are used

Ensure used valves are replaced and disposed of, not repaired

Check the exterior of the valve for issues

If necessary, establish the cause of the fault

Ensure all protective equipment is worn

Ensure only new gaskets are used to prevent leakages

Use only genuine Sauer spare parts to avoid damage

Replace and dispose of used valves with genuine Sauer spare parts

Removal of Air Filter and Pipe Unions

Loosen the screw on the air filter flange and remove the air filter

Unscrew and remove the pipe unions and hose lines at the cylinder heads

Ensure all protective equipment is worn

Ensure only new gaskets are used for re-installation

Use only genuine Sauer spare parts for installation

Replace and dispose of valves that have reached the end of their service life
