Check all fasteners and set screws for tightness

Rotate the fan wheel by hand to ensure no parts are rubbing

Access the wheel through the bolted panel on the side of the fan housing

Ensure proper wheel settings for radial gap and alignment

Refer to Radial Gap, Overlap and Wheel Alignment section on page 11 for guidance

Check for signs of wear or damage on the belts and pulleys

Are the motor and drive shafts parallel?

Enter the number of turns the multigroove variable pitch pulleys were adjusted

Inspection and Maintenance Record

Record inspection and maintenance performed

Check for moisture or dirt accumulations on parts

Describe the source of moisture or dirt, if found

Ensure the unit is not capable of operation during repairs

Verify motor lubrication requirements

Is the motor equipped with grease fittings?

Is the motor temperature within acceptable range (≤ 104ºF or 40ºC)?

Replace grease according to manufacturer's recommendations

Ensure the fan is turned off and locked out before starting lubrication

Verify the ambient temperature is within the normal operating range (32°F to 200°F)

Rotate the shaft before adding lubricant

Add high quality lithium complex grease conforming to NLGI Grade 2

Is clean grease seen purging from the bearing?

Enter the number of grease shots applied if bearing is not visible
