Rotate the fan wheel manually to ensure it is free to operate and remove any dirt or debris.
Check the fan bearing setscrews for tightness.
Check alignment of sheaves and V-belts.

Are the sheaves free from grooves or wear?
Belt Replacement
Are all belts being replaced with a matched set?
Loosen belt tension to remove belts without prying
Ensure slack in each belt is on the same side of the drive after replacement
Tension Adjustment
Measure belt deflection halfway between sheave centers (in inches)
Wheel Rotation Check
Pre-Check Precautions
Ensure the unit is attached to the designed system
Wheel Rotation Verification
Momentarily energize the unit to check wheel rotation
Is the wheel rotation in the same direction as the airflow at the outlet?
Does the wheel rotation conform to the rotation decal affixed to the unit?
Post-Check Actions
Describe any issues noted during the check
