Diffuser Maintenance
Preparation
Remove the electrode leads
Remove the gas pilot assembly
Remove the air and oil tubes
Diffuser Removal
Mark the diffuser's relative position to the blast tube
Remove the screws holding the diffuser to the blast tube
Slowly pull the diffuser along the blast tube towards the firing head

System Tuning
Ensure independent actuators for fuel, air, and FGR are coordinated

Firing Head Inspection
Initial Preparation
Shut off the burner; position the switch to 'Off'
Shut off all electric power to the burner
Drawer Assembly Access
Disconnect the fuel lines from the drawer assembly access cover
Note the location of bolts in relation to the access cover slots
Remove the drawer assembly access cover bolts
Pull the drawer partially out of the housing
Disconnect the ignition cables from the electrodes for direct spark applications
Gas Pilot Flame Adjustment
Pilot Regulator Adjustment
Unscrew the regulator cap
Turn the adjusting screw to set pressure between 4” to 6” W.C.
Flame Signal Verification
Obtain DC volt or microamp reading of the flame signal
Use the flame safeguard amplifier meter jack for reading
Initial Startup and Maintenance Tests
Test the pilot flame signal
Test the pilot turndown

Ensure the modulating motor can complete its full travel range
