Pilot Flame Failure Check
Initial Setup
Shut off the main fuel supply
Close the gas pilot shutoff cock
Ignition Circuit Check
Is the pilot ignition circuit energized at the end of the pre-purge period?
Is there an ignition spark but no flame?
Did the program relay signal the condition due to no flame detection?

Initial Shutdown Procedures
Turn the main electrical disconnect switch to the burner to 'Off'.
Close all main fuel valves.
Protection from Environment
Is the burner operating in a damp environment?
Cover the burner with plastic to protect all electrical components from moisture.
Remove burner control and store in a dry area.

On-Off Oil Burner Adjustment
Initial Setup
Briefly push in the starter contact and release to ensure that the blower motor and oil pump are rotating in the correct direction.
Turn the burner switch to the 'ON' position.
Low-Fire Pressure Adjustment
Ensure the following are in place
Disconnect the wiring to the solenoid on the Suntec B2TC-8931 oil pump.
Adjust the screw on the solenoid to obtain a smooth ignition of the oil flame and satisfactory low-fire oil flame.
Turn the burner off and restart to ensure smooth ignition is obtained at the set low-fire pressure.
Replace knurled nut and tighten finger tight.
Pilot / Ignition Electrode Maintenance
Preparation
Ensure the fuel supply is shut off before starting maintenance.
Gas Pilot Maintenance
Close the gas pilot cock.
Disconnect the pilot gas supply line.
Remove the screws on the pilot access plate.
Disconnect the high voltage ignition cable by pulling it straight back, away from the pilot assembly.
Slide the pilot gun assembly back away from the flame side of the burner.
Turn the pilot assembly and retract it through the access hole once clear of the burner head bracket.
