Proceed with startup and adjustments for gas burners without altering air settings set for oil

Correct the O2 levels by adjusting the butterfly valve for models V35-55

Adjust the regulators low and high pressures for models V13-34

Replace or clean the oil strainer element

Inspect the combustion impeller

Perform complete combustion test

Read and log combustion test data

Verify factory settings of the firing rate control

Make visual inspection of the igniter

Check flame signal strength of the igniter

Make audible and visual check of the following

Check valve position indicators and fuel meters for

Open the manual gas shutoff cocks

Gas Pressure Check and Adjustment

Enter the gas pressure at the inlet of the regulator

Enter the pressure downstream of the regulator

Are the pressures in accordance with the regulator specifications?

Adjust the regulator if necessary and describe the adjustments made

Burner Operation and O2 Level Adjustment

Turn the burner switch to the 'ON' position

Ensure the modulating motor can complete its full travel range

Verify there are no restrictions in the linkage that could damage the motor or linkage

Set the modulating motor to low-fire position

Adjust lever and rod with motor in low-fire position

Ensure the rod is as close to parallel with the lever as possible

Adjust angles of driven levers on the jackshaft to vary rate of change

Adjust lever length on damper, metering unit, and valve(s) to decrease flow rate
