Set the 'MANUAL-AUTO' switch to the 'MANUAL' position

Position the manual flame control potentiometer in the 'CLOSED' (low-fire) position

Turn the fuel selector switch to the 'OIL' position

Turn the burner switch to the 'ON' position

Proceed with startup and adjustments for oil burners

Place the burner switch to 'OFF'

Position the fuel selector switch to 'GAS'

Proceed with startup and adjustments for gas burners

Turn the adjusting screw to set pressure between 4” to 6” W.C.

Obtain DC volt or microamp reading of the flame signal

Use the flame safeguard amplifier meter jack for reading

Initial Startup and Maintenance Tests

Close the gas pilot shutoff cock

Is the pilot ignition circuit energized at the end of the pre-purge period?

Is there an ignition spark but no flame?

Did the program relay signal the condition due to no flame detection?

Did the ignition circuit de-energize?

Disconnect and remove any electrical conduit, boxes, and brackets attached to the side outer casing.

Match mark the outer panels for repositioning.

Remove screw from frame above each outer panel, if installed.

Slide center panel up, swing bottom of panel away from boiler, slide down from upper frame, and set aside.

Slide end panels towards the center until free from the corner frame and remove.

Are there obstructions preventing panel removal?

Unscrew the upper frame from the roof and side frames if obstructions are present.

Mark the diffuser's relative position to the blast tube

Remove the screws holding the diffuser to the blast tube

Slowly pull the diffuser along the blast tube towards the firing head
