The following list identifies the items that must be serviced every 3000 Hours or Two Years.

- Cooling system: Change coolant and clean radiator fins

Remove the radiator cap slowly to relieve pressure. Inspect the radiator cap gasket. Clean or replace the cooling system relief valve (1).

Drain the coolant with the radiator drain valve (2)

The following items must be serviced every 250 Hours or Monthly.

- Engine oil and filters: Change

- Engine valve lash: Adjust on new or rebuilt engines only

- Cooling system conditioner: Change element

- Air conditioner: Test and adjust belt

- Fan drive bearing and belt tightener: Lubricate

- Alternator and fan belts: Test and adjust

Indicators and gauges operation test

Supplemental steering operation test

Repeat the brake test for each brake lever or pedal

Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual for more information on the remaining tests performed in the cab.

Sign off on the operator's cab check

Engine air intake system components:

Precleaner bowls emptied when dirt reaches the full mark

Air filter elements serviced when the yellow piston in the air service indicator moves into the red zone

Two filter elements are installed in the filter housings. The large element is the primary element and the small element is the secondary element.

Primary element cleaned a maximum of six times

Warning: This maintenance check requires trained personnel with PPE!

Enter the concentration of coolant conditioner

Is the concentration of coolant conditioner between 3 - 6%?

Enter the concentration of Caterpillar Antifreeze

Is the concentration of Caterpillar Antifreeze between 30 - 60%?

Enter the operating temperature of the engine

Is the operating temperature of the engine between 88 and 99°C (190 and 210°F)?

Enter the cooling system pressure

Is the cooling system pressure between 55 and 110 kPa (8 and 16 psi)?
