2 Monthly Anti-Friction Bearing Re-Lubrication
Section 3 — Lubrication Procedure
Ensure lubrication is done with motor running, stay clear of rotating parts and electrical circuits
Ensure not to over-lubricate motor to prevent premature bearing failure
Relubricate with the shaft stationary and a warm motor
Locate the grease inlet, clean the area and replace the pipe plug with a grease fitting if necessary
Remove relief plug
Is grease caked around the plug?
Clean caked grease with a wooden stick or suitable tool if present
Is there severe caking at the plug?

Listen for any abnormal noises and check cause immediately
Check for any vibration and check cause immediately if excessive vibration is found

Check for proper lubrication
Check that constant level oilers have oil in them and cap is screwed on tightly

CAUTION — Do not over-lubricate motor as this may cause premature bearing failure
