Sensor Case Purging
Prerequisites
Ensure the following items are available
Initial Setup
Is the process shut down or set to manual operation?
Purge Plug Removal
Remove both purge plugs from the sensor case or open the valve in the purge lines
Is the area clear of the rupture disk pressure relief area?
Purge Plug Preparation
Wrap purge plugs with 2–3 turns of Teflon tape
Sensor Pressure Relief
Safety Precautions
Orient the sensor to avoid exposure to discharge along the pressure relief path.
Ensure personnel stay clear of the rupture disk pressure relief area.
Rupture Disk Inspection
Is the rupture disk installed?
Is the rupture disk seal intact?
Post-Activation Actions
Has the rupture disk been activated by a tube breach?
Remove the Coriolis meter from service if the rupture disk is activated.
