Defrost the unit daily or as needed

Wipe clean the interior and the exterior of the unit using a solution of mild soap and water

Engage the sanitation cycle (if equipped)

Inspect components for proper operation and seal

Use vacuum and brush to clean the condenser coil

Was the maintenance completed successfully?

Describe any issues found during maintenance

Run the defrost cycle to ensure the coil is free of ice.

Disconnect and lock the main power switch.

Remove screws securing the evaporator door to the vertical frame.

Swing the evaporator door open.

Use a vacuum cleaner or soft non-metallic bristle brush to remove surface fibers and dirt in the direction of the fins.

Spray the coil finned area and return bends with recommended coil cleaner using a pump-up sprayer or conventional spray bottle.

Ensure unit is properly installed

Verify electrical service according to manufacturer label

Is the drain pan properly installed or hard plumbed?

Inspect drain lines for integrity and proper flow

Check door hinges and gasket for proper operation and seal

Run the defrost cycle to ensure the coil is free of ice.

Disconnect and lock the main power switch.

Open the evaporator door by removing the screws and swing the door open.

Use a vacuum cleaner or a soft non-metallic bristle to remove surface fibers and dirt in the direction of the fins.

Ensure water temperature is below 130°F before rinsing the coil.

Ensure water pressure is below 100 PSI before rinsing the coil.

Rinse the coil finned area and the return bends with plenty of clean warm water.
