Spotlight: How Duracell Optimizes Parts Inventory with MaintainX and SAP

As a global leader in consumer batteries, Duracell faced a common challenge — finding ways to drive cost savings and adapt to a changing workforce. To address this, the company decided to integrate MaintainX with SAP to optimize its parts inventory practices through digitization.

With SAP as the database of record, the integration with MaintainX streamlines processes for both technicians on the shop floor and finance teams using SAP. The integration synchronizes data between the two systems, allowing Duracell to streamline its maintenance and procurement processes while keeping track of the parts that its technicians are using across sites.

A quote: "Moving to MaintainX was one of the smoothest integrations I've ever seen in my career." Jarrod Kipp, North America Product Supply Process Transformation Manager, Duracell

The company enhanced its data accuracy and reduced stock variability, resulting in an estimated annual savings of $50,000 in parts inventory costs per site. Leveraging both MaintainX and SAP allowed for real-time visibility and control over parts inventory, enabling Duracell to optimize its operations and drive significant cost savings.
