If not, loosen the fuel tank drain plug.

Is the sedimenter drain plug loosened and water drained out of the fuel system?

If not, loosen sedimenter drain plug and drain the water out of the fuel system.

Withdraw the oil level gauge, wipe with a clean cloth and reinsert all the way.
