Fuel Tank Check
Warning: Never perform do-it-yourself welding or other repair work on the fuel tank. It might cause explosion or fire.
Smell for possible fuel leak
Visually inspect for possible fuel leak
Touch to confirm possible fuel leak
Did you find any leak?
If you found a leak, see the nearest Toyota dealer and have them repair the tank immediately.
Sign off on the fuel tank check
Battery Terminals Maintenance
Caution: Stop the engine when attempt to work on the battery and terminals.
Be careful not permitting any foreign matter to come into the battery by means of putting the lids tightly in place.
Be careful not causing a short circuit of the battery nor nearing fire, such as smoking fire, because the battery-emitted gas is inflammable.
Be cautious enough not to contact the battery electrolyte. When it comes into contact with an eye or skin, wash it off immediately with plenty of water and then see a doctor.
Charge the battery with the lids off in a well-ventilated area.
When battery electrolyte is spilt, be certain to wash it off with water thoroughly the spot and adjoining area.
Check for loose or corroding terminal
Check for white powder on the terminal
Check for extreme corrosion on the terminal
250 Hourly / 6 Weekly Forklift (Clutch Models) Lubrication
Clutch models:
1. Differential gear: inspect and service, lubricate with Hypoid gear oil
2. Oil pump drive shaft: inspect and service, lubricate with Molybdenum disulfide grease
3. Transmission case: inspect and service, lubricate with Hypoid gear oil
4. Engine crank case: lubricant replacement, lubricate with engine oil
5. Tilt cylinder front pin: inspect and service, lubricate with MP grease
Note: In case of the hard operating condition, the service interval of 170 hours or 1 month may be recommendable.;
Fuel Level Check
Start the engine and observe the fuel meter to see if the fuel is sufficient.
Note: After the end of daily operation, fill the tank with fuel to prevent the moisture in the air in the tank from mixing into the fuel.
When supplying fuel, stop the engine, remove the fuel tank cap by turning it counterclockwise, and pour fuel through the fuel filler neck.
After fueling, be sure to tighten the fuel tank cap.
Caution: Always stop the engine and keep any fire source away before and during the fueling operation.
Carefully prevent entrance of water and dirt into the tank during fueling.
