Mast Inspection
Note: Inspect the disassembled parts on the following items, and repair or replace any part found defective.
1. Lift roller inspection:
(1) Damage or wear in lift roller.
Lift roller outside diameter: Standard: 125.5 mm (5.020"). Wear limit: 124.5 mm (4.980")
Lift roller inside diameter: Standard: 40.0 mm (1.600"). Wear limit: 40.005 mm (1.6002")
(2) Looseness or defective rotation in lift roller
2. Outer and inner mast inspection:
(1) Warping, bending, or spalling in inner and outer masts.
(2) Cracks at welded parts.
Tilt Cylinder Test
Warning: This test requires trained personnel with PPE!
Carry the specified load and set the mast vertically
Measure the amount of movement
If the natural forward tilt of the lift cylinder exceeds the limit, perform the following test
Remove the front pin from the tilt cylinder (at one side)
Disconnect the high pressure hose from the tilt cylinder (at side with pin removed), remove the fitting and install blind fitting. Then, connect the high pressure hose
Since the cylinder piping connects to both cylinders, the purpose of the above is to block off one cylinder and conduct test on the other cylinder
Carry one-half of the standard load, set the mast vertically, place reference line on the rod, and measure the amount of movement
Perform the above test alternately on the two cylinders and determine which one is faulty

Flow Regulator Valve Test
Before making the lowering test, perform the lift cylinder oil leak test so as to make sure that the “U” packings and oil control valve are in proper condition.
Carry the standard load and fix the load securely to ensure it does not drop off. Perform the test in a spacious place and exercise plenty of care on safety. After measuring the lowering speed, determine whether removal is required.

Transmission Inspection
Wash the disassembled parts and inspect them to see if worn, damaged, or otherwise defective. Repair or replace all parts found faulty. If either the ring gear or drive pinion is found faulty, both should always be replaced as a set.
Excessive wear or damage in spider. Diameter Standard: 22.00 mm (0.880''), Wear limit: 21.75 mm (0.870'')
Wear or damage in side gears and side gear thrust washers. Side gear thrust washer Thickness Standard: 1.6 mm (0.064''), Wear limit: 1.3 mm (0.052'')
Wear or damage in pinion gears and pinion gear thrust washers. Pinion gear thrust washer Thickness Standard: 1.6 mm (0.064''), Wear limit: 1.0 mm (0.040'')
Side gear to pinion gear backlash. Standard: 0.10 ~ 0.25 mm (0.004'' ~ 0.010'')
Wear or damage in drive pinion and ring gear teeth
Wear or damage in bearings
Damage in differential case and bearing retainer
Wear in ring gear thrust screw cap. Thickness Standard: 13 mm (0.52''), Wear limit: 11.5 mm (0.46'')
