Tilt Cylinder Test

Check mark

Warning: This test requires trained personnel with PPE!

Check mark

Carry the specified load and set the mast vertically

Check mark

Measure the amount of movement

Check mark

If the natural forward tilt of the lift cylinder exceeds the limit, perform the following test

Check mark

Remove the front pin from the tilt cylinder (at one side)

Check mark

Disconnect the high pressure hose from the tilt cylinder (at side with pin removed), remove the fitting and install blind fitting. Then, connect the high pressure hose

Check mark

Since the cylinder piping connects to both cylinders, the purpose of the above is to block off one cylinder and conduct test on the other cylinder

Check mark

Carry one-half of the standard load, set the mast vertically, place reference line on the rod, and measure the amount of movement

Check mark

Perform the above test alternately on the two cylinders and determine which one is faulty
