2 Yearly Steer Loder Components Replacement
Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!
Select the components replaced
Was the machine operating under hard conditions?
If machine was operating under hard conditions, consider a service interval of 170 hours or 1 month.
Sign off on the components replacement
Fuse Replacement
Warning: Set the ignition switch to the OFF position before starting.
Location of fuse box: Left front as seen from the top left of the driver seat.
Fuse box cover removed
Clip removed from fuse box
Fuse removed using fuse clip
Fuse blown?
If fuse is blown, replace it with a spare fuse.
Caution: Use the fuse having the same capacity as that of the installed one.
If the replaced fuse is blown again, ask a Toyota dealer for inspection.
Antifreeze Level Adjustment
Warning: Ensure the vehicle is in a safe and stable position before starting the procedure.
Temperature is less than 0°C (32°F)?
Long-life coolant (LLC) used?
Last coolant change date
Inspect the radiator, water pump, piping and block for leaks before adding antifreeze.
Radiator cap removed?
Drain cock on the radiator and engine block loosened?
Cooling water drained?
Radiator and cylinder block flushed with clean water?
Engine Inspection
Warning: Start the engine and warm it up sufficiently.
Check each meter and warning lamp to see there is no abnormality.
Check if the engine is generating abnormal sound or vibration.
Check the exhaust gas color to see it is normal.
Caution: The exhaust gas can cause serious injury if inhaled, If you must start the engine inside building or enclosure, insure sufficient ventilation.
Sign off on the engine inspection
Tire Inspection
Measure the inflation pressure of the tire
See the service data section for the proper inflation pressure. Do not raise the pressure beyond the proper level.
Check if air is not leaking from the valve
Check the tires for damage and wear
Check the rims for bending
If the tires are damaged, or there is a marked difference in the wearing of tires between the front and rear or between the left and right is perceived, or bent rims are found, ask a Toyota dealer for inspection.
