Ensure all parts are ready for cleaning

Separate rotor, buckets, lids, tubes and sealing rings for thorough cleaning

Rinse rotor and all accessories with warm water and neutral detergent

Use a soft brush without metal bristles to remove stubborn residue

Rinse rotor and all accessories with distilled water

Place rotors on a plastic grate with cavities pointing down to drain and dry

Clean the centrifuge and rotors thoroughly

Decontaminate the centrifuge and rotors

Enter the cost of repairs (if any)

Was the centrifuge maintained by an authorized Thermo Fisher Scientific service technician?

Inspect seals and seal surfaces for signs of wear and damage

Are all seals and seal surfaces free from damage?

Is the rotor lid properly closed?

Are the sample vessels filled and closed correctly?

Verify aerosol tightness of the rotor and buckets

Ensure decontamination level is achieved according to requirements

Rinse the centrifuge and all affected accessories with water

Treat the entire surface of aluminum parts including the cavities with corrosion protection oil (70009824)

Ensure no one is at risk of contamination

Verify that contaminated parts are not touched

Describe any contamination incidents and actions taken

Has the centrifuge reached its 13-year lifetime limit?

Decommission the centrifuge if the lifetime limit is reached.

Rotor, Buckets, and Lids Inspection

Enter the number of cycles for the rotor.

Is the rotor within its specified cycle limit?

Replace the rotor if it exceeds its cycle limit.

Inspect buckets and lids for wear and damage.

Replace buckets and lids if damaged or worn.
