1 Monthly Dispensing Valves Cleaning
Preparation
Prepare a container of warm, soapy water before disassembling the valve.
Ensure not to dislodge the cable during cleaning.
Disassembly and Cleaning
Turn the power to the dispenser OFF.
Open the dispenser door to the refrigerated product compartment.
Remove the product tanks by following the instructions on page 12.
Remove the catch tray (if applicable) by lifting it up and off.
Remove the 4 pan-head screws securing the front splash panel and remove the panel.
Dispenser Maintenance
Ice Build-up Removal
Is there any ice build-up in the dispenser?
Gently remove ice build-up, if any ice forms.
Is the ice build-up removed during a defrost cycle?
Unplug the dispenser and leave the door open for about 15 minutes to allow ice to soften.
Remove the ice by hand.
Temperature and Door Check
Is a temperature adjustment required?
If temperature adjustment is required, describe the issue.
Product Case Cleaning
Preparation
Remove the product case from the refrigerated product compartment of the dispenser
Cleaning Process
Wash with hot, soapy water or an approved sanitary cleaning product
Rinse with hot, clear water to remove soap residue
Dry thoroughly
Frequency Check
Is the case cleaned each time the valve is cleaned or more frequently if required?
1 Daily Catch Tray Cleaning
Catch Tray Removal and Initial Rinse
Remove the catch tray by lifting it up and off. Does the dispenser have a catch tray?
Rinse the tray with lukewarm potable water.
Hot Water Wash
Ensure the water temperature is at least 140ºF or 60ºC.
Add a good quality general cleaner to the hot wash water as recommended by the detergent supplier.
Wash the tray thoroughly using a bottle brush to reach all corners and crevices.
If a dishwasher is available, was the tray washed on the pot cycle?
Final Rinse and Drying
