1 Daily Vacuum System Maintenance
6.2 DAILY OPERATION
Check the fluid level in the sump
If the fluid level is low, enter the necessary amount to be added
If the addition of fluid becomes too frequent, refer to the Troubleshooting Section (6.7) under Excessive Fluid Consumption
After start, check if the gauges monitor the correct readings
After the machine has warmed up, check if the Vacuum System is running properly
1 Yearly Separator Element Replacement - 50HP/30KW
SEPARATOR ELEMENTS REPLACEMENT - 50HP/30KW
Refer to Figure 6-3B. The separator elements must be changed when 'Separator Maintenance Required' message is displayed, or once a year whichever occurs first. Order separator elements, number 250034-124 (primary), and number 250034-130 (secondary).
Relieve all pressure from the separator and all compressor lines.
Disconnect all piping connected to the separator cover (return lines, service lines, etc.) to allow removal.
Loosen and remove the twelve (12) 3/4' x 3' hex head capscrews from the cover plate.
Lift the cover plate from the separator.
Remove the primary and secondary separator elements.
Scrape the old gasket material from the cover and flange on the sump being careful not to let the scraps fall into the sump.
DO NOT blow dirt out of housing with compressed air.
Initial 50 Hours Vacuum System Maintenance
Maintenance after initial 50 hours of operation
Clean the return line strainer(s)
Clean the return line orifice(s) if so equipped
Clean the vacuum unit gear housing, bearing and shaft seal orifices
Warning: Care must be taken not to damage the shaft
Clean the fluid pump suction strainer
Sign off on the maintenance procedure
4000 Hourly / 6 Monthly Fluid Filter Maintenance
Fluid Filter Maintenance
Filter maintenance gauge indicates replacement
Enter the machine's hour meter reading
Enter the date of the last fluid filter replacement
Fluid change performed
Upload a photo of the new fluid filter
Sign off on the fluid filter maintenance
Control System Adjustment
Refer to Figure 6-4. Prior to adjusting the Control System, it is necessary to determine the desired operating vacuum range.
Enter the desired operating vacuum in in-Hg.
The vacuum regulator should be adjusted for the vacuum at which modulation of gas delivery should begin.
Is the jam nut on the end of the cone shaped spring cover of the vacuum regulator loose?
Turn the adjusting screw
Enter the vacuum at which the regulator allows atmospheric pressure to flow into the control chamber of the Sullicon Control in in-Hg.
Did the Sullicon Control lever start to move?
Is the vacuum unit equipped with the optional dual control?
Enter the vacuum at which the vacuum switch contacts open in in-Hg.
