CAUTION: DO NOT remove caps, plugs and/or other components when compressor is running or pressurized. Stop compressor and relieve all internal pressure before doing so.

Inspect for leaks, loose or missing parts, damaged parts or parts out of adjustment.

Inspect for torn, frayed, blistered or otherwise deteriorated and degraded hoses.

Check the fluid level in the compressor receiver tank.

12 Monthly Wheel Bearing Lubrication

Wheel bearing lubrication is essential to the proper functioning and reliability of your portable compressor axle.

Use wheel bearing grease that conforms to military specification MIL-G-10924 or a high temperature wheel bearing grease such as lithium complex NLGI Consistency #2.

If your axle is equipped with the E-Z Lube feature, the bearings can be periodically lubricated without removing the hubs from the axle.

Did you remove the rubber plug from the end of the grease cap?

Did you place the grease gun filled with a quality wheel bearing grease onto the grease zerk located in the end of the spindle?

Did you pump grease into the zerk?

Did you observe new, clean grease flowing back out of the cap around the grease gun nozzle?

Did you remove the grease gun, wipe off any excess, and replace the rubber plug in the cap?
