160 Hourly/ 1 Monthly Belt Tension Check
Belt Tension Measurement
Measure the span length of the drive (in inches)
Calculate the required deflection (in inches) by multiplying the span length by 0.016
Lay a straightedge across the top outer surface of the drive belt from pulley to pulley
Apply pressure with a belt tension gauge and record the deflection force reading
Is the deflection force reading within the specified range?
Belt Adjustment
Adjust the belt tension if the deflection force reading is not within the specified range
Recheck the tension of the new belts several times in the first 50 hours of operation
1 Daily Air Receiver Maintenance
Safety Precautions
Disconnect & lockout the compressor from the power source (electric models) or disconnect the spark plug wire from the spark plug (gas engine models).
Preparation for Draining
Is the compressor stored in a heated area if subjected to freezing temperatures?
Reduce the air pressure in the tank to 30 PSIG by pulling the pressure relief valve ring.
Draining Process
Slowly open the drain valve to allow the moisture and air mixture to drain from the tank.
Close the drain valve once the moisture has been completely drained.
Post Maintenance Check
Initial 100 Hours Lubricant Change
Preparation
Ensure the compressor is turned off and cooled down
Verify the presence of necessary tools and materials
Lubricant Replacement
Drain the existing lubricant from the crankcase
Dispose of the used lubricant properly
Enter the amount of new Quin-Cip lubricant added (in liters)
Is the lubricant pressure set between 18 to 20 PSIG?
Adjust the oil pressure relief valve if necessary
1 Daily Compressor Check
Pre-Inspection Requirements
Ensure compressor is installed in a secure and upright position
Verify area is clean, dry, well lighted, and adequately ventilated
Ensure sufficient space around the compressor for inspection and maintenance
Have you read and understood the Pre-starting Checklist and Initial Starting & Operating sub-sections?
Daily Inspection
Make a general overall inspection of the unit and correct any unsafe situations
Ensure all fasteners and fittings are tight
Operational Checks
Lubrication Filter Replacement
Filter Replacement Instructions
Apply a thin film of lubricant to the gasket surface of the new filter
Spin the filter on the threaded stud until the gasket makes contact with the housing
Tighten the filter an additional 3/4 turn
Filter Compatibility Check
Is the filter compatible with Quin-Cip or QuiCip-D lubricant?
Filter Condition Check
Is the filter free from bends or damage?
