Batteries Cleaning
Preparation
Ensure the battery is disconnected before cleaning
Gather necessary cleaning materials
Cleaning Process
Mix sodium bicarbonate with water
Apply the cleaning solution to the top and sides of the batteries
Allow the solution to sit for three minutes
Rinse the area thoroughly with low-pressure, clear water
Post-Cleaning

Inspect tire types
Pneumatic Tire Maintenance
Enter the tire pressure for LRB tires
Is the tire pressure for LRB tires maintained at 60 psi?
Enter the tire pressure for LRC tires
Is the tire pressure for LRC tires maintained at 90 psi?
Tire Changing Procedure
Position the jack in the proper position (Figure 12)
Loosen the lug nuts on the wheel to be changed
Battery Maintenance
Initial Battery Setup
Place battery into service and complete a full discharge and charge cycle.
Check the electrolyte level.
Is the electrolyte level adequate after the first cycle?
Add approved water if needed after the first cycle.
Battery Usage Guidelines
Ensure battery is not discharged beyond 80%.
Check the specific gravity of the battery.
Is the specific gravity above 1.150?
Motor Controller Cleaning
Preparation
Remove power by disconnecting the battery
Discharge the capacitors in the controller
Cleaning Process
Remove any dirt or corrosion from the connector areas
Ensure the controller is not subjected to pressured water flow
Post-Cleaning Check
Are all connections tight?
