Remove power by disconnecting the battery

Discharge the capacitors in the controller

Remove any dirt or corrosion from the connector areas

Ensure the controller is not subjected to pressured water flow

Ensure the battery is disconnected before cleaning

Gather necessary cleaning materials

Mix 1⁄4 cup (60 mL) of sodium bicarbonate with 11⁄2 gallons (6 L) of water

Apply the cleaning solution to the top and sides of the batteries

Allow the solution to sit for three minutes

Rinse the area thoroughly with low-pressure, clear water

Place battery into service and complete a full discharge and charge cycle.

Add approved water if needed after the first cycle is completed.

Ensure battery is not discharged beyond 80%.

Check if the specific gravity is above 1.150.

Storage and Shipment Precautions

Check electrolyte levels are above the separator and 1/8” (3.175mm) below the vent well.

Check tire pressure for pneumatic tires

Is the tire pressure for LRB tires maintained at 60 psi?

Is the tire pressure for LRC tires maintained at 90 psi?

Position the jack in the proper position (Figure 12)

Loosen the lug nuts on the wheel to be changed

Raise the jack until the tire is clear of the surface
