Remove the four hex-head screws and washers

Lift the pump frame and the insulator off of the piston

Remove the retaining ring and the U-cup from the frame if necessary

Valve Spool / Sleeve Removal

CAUTION: Handle the valve spool with care. Damaging the precision machined surface of the spool can cause the air valve to seize.

Carefully slide the valve spool out of the valve sleeve and set it aside onto a clean cloth.

Detent and Spring Removal

Remove the two M4 screws.

Separate the upper detent and spring from the air manifold.

Remove the two M5 screws.

Relieve system pressure

Isolate the pump from the manifold

Check mark

Remove the three pump-mounting bolts from the front of the pump body

Check mark

Rotate the top of the pump slightly toward the front of the melter, and then pull the pump up and away from the manifold

Check mark

Remove the air line from the back of the pump

Check mark

Lift the pump clear of the melter

Check mark

Remove the RTD from its retention slot

Check mark

Replace the RTD and pump

Check mark

Ensure the cross-over tube is in-place between the pump and the manifold before replacing the pump
