Ensure all necessary cleaning tools and materials are available

Inspect all moving parts in the system

Readjust moving parts if necessary

Use brushes and brooms to clean the system

Apply cleaning agents using cloths

Use vacuum cleaner to eliminate loose dirt

Racking and Shutter Mechanism Verification

Verify that the racking mechanism moves freely through the entire travel and does not bind in any position.

Verify that the shutter mechanism moves freely through the entire travel and does not bind in any position.

Verify correct operation of position limits.

Busbar and Cable Shutters Cleaning

Withdraw the module from the housing as detailed in section 2.4.

Clean the busbar and cable shutters.

Ensure the earth switch is closed

Verify all switch blades engage their respective fixed contacts

Use a mirror to check the earthing switch for visible changes

Has the earthing switch visibly changed?

Remove the cables for detailed inspection if changes are visible

Inspect switch blades and fixed contacts for issues

Are there any visible signs of water intrusion or excessive heat?

Check for visible signs of pests

Are there visible signs of general soiling in the switchgear room?

Describe any other potentially negative changes discovered during the inspection

Can all of the LV control panel doors be easily opened and closed?

Are the areas around bolted fasteners on active components discoloured?

Door and Lever Mechanism Inspection

Check that the doors close properly and that the lever mechanism functions smoothly

Re-adjust doors and lever mechanism if required

Measure the play of the lever mechanism from the door handle to the lever

Is the lever mechanism play within the acceptable range?

Replace lever mechanism if play is too large

Ensure the hinge shaft is clean and moves without need for oil
