2000 Hourly Cooling Oil Replacement

13 OIL TEMPERATURE CONTROLLER

WARNING: Ensure that the power is turned OFF when performing maintenance.

Turn OFF the main power.

Remove the maintenance cover.

Place an oil pan beneath the drain plug.

Remove the drain plug and drain all oil from the tank.

Wrap sealing tape around the threaded part of the plug.

Replace the drain plug.

Remove the fill port cap.

16-1 Precautions when Performing Maintenance Work on Pneumatic Devices

WARNING

Inspect the pressure gage periodically. If not set at the correct value, adjustment is necessary.

Use a ladder or service platform when working in elevated places. Loss of balance may result in serious injury.

16-2 Air Pressure Inspection and Adjustment

Supply the compressed air by rotating the valve CCW.

Check that the pressure gage is set at 0.5 MPa (green mark).

5 Yearly Machining Chamber Observation Window Replacement

DANGER: Turn OFF the main power and disconnect the plant-side power supply (breaker).

WARNING: Replace the window at regular intervals (once every 5 years) or in any of the following cases: When damaged, When cracked, When hit with a strong impact, When visibility of the window cannot be secured.

NOTE: Please contact the Mori Seiki Service Department and obtain specified parts when replacing the window. Mori Seiki is not responsible for problems arising from the use of non-specified replacement window parts.

Take care not to drop the window. Take care the steps in the machining chamber. If the window is damaged, take due care to avoid injury caused by touching the damaged part of the glass.

Main power turned OFF?

Window frame plate removed?

Old window removed?

Silicon on the window frame plate removed?

Mounting direction of the new window confirmed and silicone sealant applied to the edges of outside face of the new window?

19 HIGH PRESSURE COOLANT UNIT (OPTION)

WARNING

1. Do not operate the high pressure coolant unit or perform maintenance and inspections without reading and obtaining a thorough understanding of the contents of the operation manual provided with the high pressure coolant unit.

2. Keep the high pressure coolant unit operation manual on hand to enable immediate reference.

3. After the completion of the maintenance and inspections, remount all covers before running the machine.
