Are all trailer lights operational?

Check operation of the following lights

Inspect condition of reflector lenses

Replace damaged or inoperative bulbs

Initial tightening to 15-20 lbs using cross tightening sequence

Final tightening to 80-90 ft. lbs for 1/2 studs

Retorque after first 50 miles of use

Ensure brakes are working properly

Is the load properly secured and not overloaded?

Secure ramps in the appropriate storage area

Ensure jack is raised to highest position

Initial tightening to 15-20 lbs using cross tightening sequence

Final tightening to 80-90 ft. lbs for 1/2 studs

Retorque after first 50 miles of use

Check the break-away system wiring and connections

Is there any sign of a short or open circuit?

Charge the battery periodically as per the manual instructions

Wear protective gloves and eyewear when handling the battery

Is the battery free from acid leaks?
