Install new 'U' cups on spool
Ensure lips of 'U' cups face each other
Insert spool into valve block
End Cap and Valve Block Assembly
Install gasket on end cap
Assemble end cap to valve block
Secure with end plates and screws
Tighten screws to specified torque
Diaphragm Pump Maintenance
Preparation
Provide a clean work surface to protect sensitive internal moving parts from contamination.
Ensure all necessary tools and equipment are available.
Service Activity Records
Keep good records of service activity.
Include pump in preventive maintenance program.
Pre-Disassembly
Empty captured material in the outlet manifold by turning the pump upside down.
Is the pump completely drained of material?
Pilot Valve Reassembly
Preparation
Clean parts not being replaced from service kit
Lubricate parts not being replaced from service kit
O-Ring and Sleeve Installation
Install new (171 and 172) “O” rings
Replace (170) sleeve
Seal and O-Ring Installation
Install new (168) “O” rings
Install (169) seal, noting the lip direction
Pilot Valve Disassembly
Disassembly Steps
Lightly tap on part (118) to expose the opposite (121) sleeve, (167) pilot piston, and other parts.
Remove part (170) sleeve.
Inspect inner bore of sleeve (170) for damage.
Fluid Section Reassembly
Preparation
Clean all parts
Inspect all parts for wear or damage
Replace worn or damaged parts with new parts
Lubrication
Lubricate diaphragm rod with Lubriplate FML-2 grease
Lubricate 'U' cup with Lubriplate FML-2 grease
Diaphragm Installation
Install Santoprene diaphragm with 'AIR SIDE' towards pump center body
