Inspect your trailer before use to ensure that all nuts and bolts are fully tightened

Load trailer on a flat and level surface

Check tire pressure. Bring to specified level.

Ensure that brakes are working properly

Make sure the load is properly secured and that the trailer is not overloaded

Check that all electrical connections, lights and reflectors are in proper working order

Secure ramps in the appropriate storage area

Make sure safety chain, hitching mechanisms, and gates are secured

Initial tightening to 15-20 lbs using cross tightening sequence

Final tightening to 80-90 ft. lbs for 1/2 studs

Retorque after first 50 miles of use

Check that all tires are properly inflated

Inspect tires for wear and damage

Is the tire pressure within the recommended range?

Describe any issues found during inspection

Check and record tire pressure for each tire

Inspect tires for wear and damage

Check and record torque levels of wheel lug nuts

Block and secure trailer before changing a tire

Is the jack capacity appropriate for the trailer weight?

Change tires off the traveled portion of the roadway

Verify operation of all trailer lights

Are all trailer lights lit when tow unit lights are on?

Check if reflector lenses are clean and unbroken

Replace damaged or inoperative components

Does the light work after bulb replacement?

Describe any issues with wiring or light assembly
