Are all trailer lights operational?

Check operation of the following lights

Inspect condition of reflector lenses

Replace damaged or inoperative bulbs

Initial tightening to 15-20 lbs using cross tightening sequence

Final tightening to 80-90 ft. lbs for 1/2 studs

Retorque after first 50 miles of use

Inspect all nuts and bolts for tightness

Load trailer on a flat and level surface

Is the tire pressure at the specified level?

Are the brakes working properly?

Is the load properly secured and not overloaded?

Check and record tire pressure for each tire

Inspect tires for wear and damage

Check and record torque levels of wheel’s lug nuts

Block and secure trailer before changing a tire

Ensure jack capacity matches trailer weight

Change tires off traveled portion of roadway

Ensure wiring and connections are secure

Is the battery charged periodically?

Describe any issues found during charging

Wear protective gear when handling the battery

Is the battery free from acid leaks?

Is the area well-ventilated to prevent gas accumulation?
