Initial 250 Hours Gear Reducer Oil Change
Preparation
Ensure the conveyor is turned off and locked out
Gather necessary tools and materials (Mobil 600W lubricant, wrench, oil pan, etc.)
Oil Drainage
Place an oil pan under the gear reducer
Remove the drain plug and allow old oil to completely drain out
Oil Replacement
Inspect the drain plug and replace if damaged
Reinstall the drain plug securely
Belt Replacement
Disconnect all power from conveyor
Loosen both casting bolts
Release tension on belt
Remove left eccentric collar
Remove two 1/4-20 B.H.C.S. from splice assembly
Remove splice assembly
Remove two motor mount bolts
Remove right side rail or right side conveyor cover
Unbolt variable speed control if applicable
Conveyor Startup Check
Pre-startup Inspection
Check for foreign objects inside the conveyor
Warn all personnel in the area that the conveyor is about to start
Post-startup Inspection
Is the conveyor operating smoothly?
Check that all components are working properly
