Shut off power and gas to the appliance if frozen

Contact factory for further instructions if frozen

Turn off power to the boiler before any service operation

Follow 'To Turn Off Gas to Appliance' instructions

Do not drain the boiler unless exposed to freezing temperatures

Ensure power and gas to the appliance are shut off if the boiler may be frozen

Verify that the boiler is not frozen before proceeding

Confirm that electrical power is turned off before starting any service operation

Inspect all boiler wiring for good condition

Check that all wires are securely attached

Confirm that the boiler is inspected annually by a qualified service technician

Ensure the boiler is not frozen. If frozen, shut off power and gas immediately and contact the factory.

Turn off power to the boiler before starting inspection.

Check that the condensate trap is properly installed and connected to the condensate pipe under the boiler.

Inspect the condensate line for obstructions to ensure free flow of condensate.

Inspect the neutralizing kit (if installed) to ensure proper drainage and adequate neutralizing agent.

Turn the power back on to the boiler.

Conduct water quality testing prior to installing the appliance

Enter the hardness level of the water (grains per gallon)

Is the hardness level between 5 and 12 grains per gallon?

Consult local water treatment companies for hard water areas (above 12 grains per gallon hardness)

If hardness is below 5 grains/gallon, mix in potable water to increase hardness

Enter the pH level of the water

Ensure the boiler is not frozen

Shut off power and gas if the boiler is frozen

Contact the factory for further instructions if frozen

Turn off power to the boiler before any service operation

Perform maintenance as per Table 12A
