If flame is unsatisfactory, turn off boiler and allow to cool

Verify that the boiler is not frozen before proceeding.

Confirm that electrical power is turned off before any service operation.

SMART SYSTEM Control Module Check

Set the SMART SYSTEM control module display to Parameter Mode.

Check all settings in Parameter Mode.

Adjust settings if necessary and document changes.

Ensure the boiler is not frozen

Shut off power and gas to the appliance if frozen

Contact the factory for further instructions if frozen

Turn off power to the boiler before any service operation

Check that a discharge line is connected to the relief valve

Operate the valve lever to ensure waterways are clear

Check for water discharge when operating the lever

Verify the preparation procedures have been completed

Verify the boiler and system are full of water

Check all system components are correctly set for operation

Verify electrical connections are correct and securely attached

Inspect vent piping and air piping for signs of deterioration

Verify air piping and vent piping are intact and correctly installed

Ensure water meets manual requirements before filling the system

Close automatic and manual air vents and boiler drain valve

Fill to correct system pressure

Enter the minimum cold water fill pressure

Check if the pressure rises when the boiler is turned ON and system water temperature increases

Check the system thoroughly for any leaks during initial fill and boiler start-up

Repair all leaks before proceeding further
