Ensure water meets manual requirements before filling the system

Close automatic and manual air vents and boiler drain valve

Fill to correct system pressure

Enter the minimum cold water fill pressure

Check if the pressure rises when the boiler is turned ON and system water temperature increases

Check the system thoroughly for any leaks during initial fill and boiler start-up

Repair all leaks before proceeding further

Shut off power and gas to the appliance if frozen

Inspect boiler annually by a qualified service technician

Turn off power to the boiler before service

Boiler Shutdown and Preparation

Shut down boiler following 'To Turn Off Gas to Appliance' instructions

Allow boiler to cool to room temperature

Ensure the boiler is not frozen

Shut off power and gas to the appliance if frozen

Contact the factory for further instructions if frozen

Turn off power to the boiler before service

Remove the ignition and flame sense electrodes from the boiler heat exchanger access cover

Remove deposits from the ignition/flame sense electrode using sandpaper

Replace electrodes if they cannot be cleaned satisfactorily

Ensure the boiler is not frozen

Shut off power and gas to the appliance if frozen

Contact the factory for further instructions if frozen

Turn off power to the boiler before any service operation

Enter the current water usage from the fill water meter

Is the water usage exceeding 5% of the system volume?

If water usage exceeds 5%, check for leaks

Inspect all boiler wiring for good condition

Ensure all wires are securely attached

Is the wiring in acceptable condition?

Describe any issues found during inspection
