Ensure the boiler is not frozen

Shut off power and gas to the appliance if frozen

Contact the factory for further instructions if frozen

Turn off power to the boiler before any service operation

Inspect all water and gas piping for leaks

Verify all water and gas piping are leak free

Look for signs of leaking lines

Inspect the boiler for any signs of freezing

Was the boiler inspected by a qualified service technician?

Ensure the boiler is not frozen

Shut off power and gas to the appliance if frozen

Contact the factory for further instructions if frozen

Turn off power to the boiler before service

Inspect boiler ground wire from the heat exchanger access cover to ground terminal strip

Verify all wiring is in good condition and securely attached

Check ground continuity of wiring using continuity meter

Replace ground wires if ground continuity is not satisfactory

DANGER: If this boiler may be frozen, immediately shut off power and gas to the appliance and contact the factory for further instructions.

Turn off power to the boiler before any service operation.

Check flame signal at high fire

Is the flame signal at least 10 microamps?

Inspect flame sense electrode for fouling or damage

Clean the flame sense electrode if necessary

Verify ground wiring condition and ground continuity

Replace the flame sense electrode if cleaning does not improve the flame signal and ground conditions are satisfactory

Refer to Section 3 - Troubleshooting of the Knight Wall Hung Fire Tube Boiler Service Manual for further procedures if low flame signal persists

Ensure the boiler is not frozen

Remove the front access cover and inspect the interior of the boiler

Vacuum any sediment from inside the boiler and components

Remove any obstructions from the boiler interior

Was the inspection completed by a qualified service technician?
