Ensure the boiler is not frozen

Shut off power and gas if the boiler is frozen

Contact the factory for further instructions if frozen

Turn off power to the boiler before servicing

Check flame signal at high fire

Is the flame signal at least 10 microamps?

Flame Sense Electrode Inspection

Ensure the boiler is not frozen

Shut off power and gas to the appliance if frozen

Contact the factory for further instructions if frozen

Turn off power to the boiler before any service operation

Check that a discharge line is connected to the valve

Operate the valve lever to ensure waterways are clear

Ensure water discharges properly during valve operation

Ensure the boiler is not frozen

Shut off power and gas to the appliance if frozen

Verify that the boiler is not operating when frozen

Turn off power to the boiler before service

Remove the ignition and flame sense electrodes from the boiler heat exchanger access cover

Clean deposits from the ignition/flame sense electrode using sandpaper

Replace electrodes if they cannot be cleaned satisfactorily

Verify that boiler area is free of any combustible materials, gasoline and other flammable vapors and liquids.

Verify that air intake area is free of any contaminants listed in Section 1 of the manual.

If contaminants are present, ensure they are removed or reinstall air and vent lines as per the manual.

Ensure the boiler is not frozen

Shut off power and gas to the appliance if frozen

Contact the factory for further instructions if frozen

Turn off power to the boiler before any service operation

Check for any signs of damage or leaks after operating the relief valve
